Incidents occurred Wednesday night. No homes or vehicles were entered.

Holmdel police are reminding residents to lock homes and vehicles after a group of unknown men were observed peeping into windows on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

The Holmdel Police Department issued an alert message Thursday afternoon concerning the incidents, which took place between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

“Subjects approached homes on Raintree Court and Williams Way and rang the doorbell. When the resident answered the door, they ran to an awaiting vehicle and left the area,” the alert message stated.

The vehicle appeared to be a dark sedan. The subjects were described as white males between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing hooded sweatshirts and ski masks.

The men peered into basement and car windows at homes along those streets. No homes or vehicles were broken into, according to the alert message.

Residents with information on the subjects or the incident should call the Holmdel Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-946-4400.
