Police Presence At Hazlet Train Station Wednesday Morning
It's an anti-terrorism exercise by NJ Transit and NJ State Police, say Hazlet PD.
Several NJ Transit police officers were patrolling the Hazlet and Aberdeen-Matawan train stations Wednesday morning, some holding their weapons and watching the trains.
Hazlet Police Sgt. Ted Wittke said that New Jersey Transit and State Police are operating an anti-terrorism exercise between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., and that there is no threat or particular event to be concerned about.
The trains appeared to be moving at a regular pace.
