Obituary: Founder of Childhood Cancer Research Charity Dies at 37
The Aberdeen woman, formerly of Hazlet, founded Team Brothers.
Kristin L. Scaturo-Worosila, 37, of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Hazlet before moving to Aberdeen 12 years ago. Krissy was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. She was the founder of Team Brothers, a charity that helped raise funds for childhood cancer research.
Krissy is predeceased by her cherished son Michael. She is survived by her beloved husband William, a loving son Joseph, devoted parents Joseph and Karen Scaturo of Hazlet, two adoring sisters, her twin, Karyn Scaturo and her husband Chris Minto of Aberdeen, and Catherine Bernard and her husband Steven of Foster City, CA. Krissy also leaves behind her grandfather, Capt. Bertram O. Christensen of Bayville, grandmother Janteel F. Scaturo of Manahawkin, nieces Lily, Olivia and Emily, nephew Eric, Mother in law Barbara Worosila of Aberdeen and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Krissy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 1-4PM and 6-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ, 07735; and Wednesday, 10am at the funeral home, with an 11AM service at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan.
