Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about the area to participate.

How do you define where a band is from? The Nerds play many gigs in Central NJ, and the lead singer, Spazz, lives around the corner from me in Freehold.

Any list without BOB BURGER is grossly incomplete. He is an awesome guitar player, vocalist, and song writer. Who else can say they have played alongside Paul McCartney, Jon BonJovi, Billy Joel, jimmy Buffet, and Roger Waters....all on the same night. Bob plays all over Monmouth County doing original music and covers. His gigs range from acoustic solo performances, to acoustic duets with the incredible Jimmy Leahey, to 6 piece electric band shows. Bob has put together many "tribute" shows at McCloone's Supper Club. If you haven't seen Bob perform, you don't know what you're missing. My vote is for BOB BURGER.

I cannot figure how to vote maybe this doesn't work from cell phone and I have no computer. But I would just like to say I vote for BILLY SIMMONS!! He is one of the most soulful singer/guitarists that I know and when he plays live I can see the amazment on faces around the bar because you can feel that he puts every bit of himself into performing.
