No White Christmas But Watch Out For Wednesday

Wet weather looming for our area

There are just a few days left in 2012 and it looks like it is going to be a wet end to the year according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Today looks to be one of the nicest days of the week with a high of 44 before dipping down to around 29 tonight. Wednesday could bring a mix of rain and snow to our area but not enough to make too much of a mess on the roads as of Monday morning. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation but only a quarter of an inch of anything is expected to fall.

Helping to keep the snow away is the predicted high on Wednesday of 44 degrees before dropping just a few degrees to a low of 39 degrees. There may also be more rain on Thursday with a high of 45 before a low that night of 27.

Heading into the weekend the high temperature for Friday looks to be around 41 degrees and a low of 26 on Friday night. There is a chance of a mix of rain and snow again on Saturday with a high temperature of 42 expected during the day and a low of of 28 at night with more of a chance of snow.

I prefer dreaming of a white Christmas to having an actual white Christmas.

I'm with you, John. If I didn't have to drive in it I would go for the actual White Christmas. But driving in it, for me, is no fun. My motto is: "4-wheel drive is only as good as its driver."

To me, Christmas isn't completely Christmas without snow... unless I'm in the Caribbean, that is.
