The 16th Annual Holmdel Greenway Walk, led by Township Committeeman Larry Fink, took place at the Ramanessin Section of Holmdel Park (the former Chase tract.)
Scenery along the Greenway walk included the historic Longstreet Farm barn complex.
The snow was deep – boots or snow shoes were a must for this year’s greenway
walk!
The Ramanessin Section of Holmdel Park consists of vast farm fields and forests
along the Ramanessin Brook.
An old corn crib stands near the high point of the Ramenessin Section - a remnant of the farming that took place on the site many decades ago.

What a way to embrace the New Year.  Friends gathered to take an annual outing through the snow blanketed through the Ramanessin Brook Conservation Area (the southernmost part of Holmdel Park) and Bayonet Farm (Township-owned farm and park).

This year it was in the snow. Hikers had to have the necessary gear. They came in snow boots, snow shoes and cross country skis.

The hikers met at Holmdel Park at 10 a.m. and traveled out into the Greenway and then back to Holmdel Park for refreshments.

Enjoy these photos, taken on the trip yesterday.
