Nearly All of Holmdel & Hazlet Without Power

JCP&L outage map shows 91% of both Holmdel and Hazlet are without electric.

 

Monmouth County's electrical grid took a severe hit by Hurricane Sandy and Holmdel and Hazlet were no exception.

In Holmdel Tuesday at 9:20 a.m., 6,222 out of 6,850 Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) customers were without power, according to the company's New Jersey outage map.

In Hazlet, 6,804 out of 7,441 JCP&L customers have no electric service. 

According to the outage map, 85% of Monmouth County, or 237,596 of 280,646 customers are without power.
