Where are the salt trucks?????

Where are the drivers who could adapt to and compensate for weather conditions?

Even local roads are bad. Still haven't seen a salt truck. Very icy. No chance if it melting in the morning with these cold temps. Hope they salt the roads soon or it'll be a nasty commute in the morning.

Why is it we can never take ownership for our own actions?? Right. Away it's where are the salt and sand trucks?? How about where are the drivers that should have enough common sense to slow the hell down when the driving conditions get bad!?!?!? I am sick and tired of people pointing the finger at everyone else but themselves. Help YOURSELVES instead of waiting around for someone to help you.... That includes learning how to drive in snowy & icy conditions!!!

no salt trucks till after the carnige was a disgrace

I was on the parkway between 7:45-8:50, I was driving 45 and below, as were most others. Despite the conditions there were still idiots doing at least 70, and many tailgating hoping for people to move over (I was in middle lane). Conditions did not allow for one to go much over 45, and even then it was slippery at times; I did see salt trucks near exit 98. I would suspect many of these accidents were due to people just not give a damn about their own safety and those around them.

I was driving in this last night going 10 mph. It was terrible and unsafe! A disgrace. Where were the salt trucks? When I got off exit 114 the side streets were salted and safe.

I drove down Hazlet Avenue, Bethany Road and then Holmdel Road south to Rte 520 last night at about 9:45pm -- It was awful -- I was going about 15 mph, and put my car into lower gear. Even with that, I skidded a few times (and I just got new tires). The salt trucks were desperately needed on the local roads last night. I drove over the parkway while on Holmdel road, and I saw several flashing lights from multiple accidents. It was horrible last night. This morning, the roads were much better.

I was on the parkway going southbound between the Driscoll bridge and exit 109 last night between 7:30 and 8:30 and I didn't see a single person doing 70 mph. Most people could barely do 30mph. Everyone had their flashers on. Traffic was only moving in 2 lanes and the only issues we ran into were on the hills, especially near the Holmdel exit. I was thankful everyone, for the most part, was driving cautiously. I think I witnessed one person tailgating and that was because the car in front of them kept coming to a complete stop in the left hand lane (toyota camry with PA plates. even stopping on uphills...they should have just pulled over).

Was on the Parkway this morning @ 6:30 and had no issues. Didn't see any either.

I was involved in an accident on the off-ramp at exit 105 Southbound. We exchanged information without involving the police. (They were obviously quite busy). I think 6 accidents is an understatement. There were more, just not reported. Whoever is in charge of insuring the salt trucks did their job before a sheet of ice formed on a miles long stretch of the Parkway should be fired. And anyone traveling more than 20 miles an hour should have their license revoked. Pathetic on so many levels.
