Mater Dei Prep Teacher Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault of Former Student
William Miltner, 29, of Middletown will serve time at New Jersey State Prison
Monmouth County Superior Court Judge John T. Mullaney sentenced William Miltner, 29, of Middletown to four years in state prison for sexual assault of a high school student.
Miltner, of Acker Drive in Middletown, was a former teacher and dean at Mater Dei Prep in New Monmouth, where the student was enrolled. The offenses occured between March and September 2009.
As part of his sentence, Miltner will be subject to parole supervision for life, as well as the sex offender registration and notification requirements of Megan’s law. Miltner was also required to permanently give up his New Jersey Teacher’s License as a condition of the negotiated plea in this case.
Miltner was indicted and pled guilty before Judge Mullaney on January 19, 2012.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fichter. The defendant was represented by Vincent Falcetano, Jr. of Red Bank, New Jersey.

No, there is a connection between sex assaults on children and pedophiles who choose professions that give them trusted access to children. Most teachers, coaches, priests, and youth counselors are not pedophiles, but if you were a pedophile, those are the careers you'd be looking into.
