Man Arrested for Trespassing on Indian Hill School Grounds
He had walked from Bayshore Community Hospital, and was looking for a ride.
A man who walked out of Bayshore Community Hospital and onto Indian Hill School Grounds Thursday was arrested and charged by Holmdel police for one count of trespassing.
A school custodian noticed 52-year old Barry Lotz attempting to enter the school. According to police, Lotz had been a patient at Bayshore Hospital and was trying to find a ride back to the New Hope Foundation in Marlboro where he was staying. New Hope Foundation is a drug, alcohol and gambling addiction rehabilitation facility.
Police were called, and at 2:32 p.m. Ptl. William Bernard arrested the man and charged him with trespassing. Police said Lotz is self-employed and divorced. There was also a warrant out for his arrest, issued by Morristown police, for previous unspecified charges.
Lotz was transported to police headquarters. He was later released on his own recognizance on the trespassing charge and the Morristown warrant. In their Nov. 18 press release, police said he returned to the New Hope facility.
