Holmdel Hires New Administrator at $120k Salary

The position became available when former administrator Andy Katz resigned his position in November.

Former Franklin Twp. assistant manager Donna Vieiro has been chosen to fill the empty slot for Holmdel as Township Administrator.

Vieiro was appointed at a Feb. 5 meeting, with a salary of $120,000. Vieiro's salary is $5,000 more per year than former administrator Andy Katz.

“She’s the complete package. She has experience in revenue generation, preserving open space, everything we were looking for. We were fortunate to get someone like her," Mayor Patrick Impreveduto said in an interview with The Independent.

According to The Independent, Vieiro was selected in January after a second round of interviews. The position became available when former administrator Katz resigned his position in November after a little over one year in the position.

At that time, Maureen Doloughty was named Interim Township Administrator. Deputy Township Clerk Barbara Kovelesky was named Interim Township Clerk.

The Independent reported Vieiro will be involved in discussions with Somerset Developers regarding development of the Alcatel-Lucent project as well as be a point-person for other department heads in the township.

Not bad for government work. No wonder why the taxes are so high.

A Holmdel patrolman at full pay make $110k and with minimal OT well over the $120k the administrator will get. What do you want her to take, $10 an hour?
