People decorated bags in memory of someone lost to cancer, and walked the track at Raritan High School throughout the event.

The Hazlet Relay for Life fundraiser took place this weekend at Raritan High School in Hazlet. More than 600 people registered to be part of the event, coming from many neighboring towns.

Here are some of the people who took part walking the track during the 24-hour team relay event that raised money for cancer research, remembering loved ones, celebrating survivors, and pledging support for the fight for a cure.

Log into Patch and post your own photos to this story.  Write a caption telling us about the photo. (Be sure to "save" the caption, its easy to miss that button.) Thanks!

Holmdel-Hazlet Patch thanks Hazlet photographer and Relay-er Jennifer Quinn for her photos of the event!

This photo of Jacqueline Strachan is one of a beautiful girl who had been married for approxiamately a year and managed to celebrate her 30th birthday never thinking she'd see that milestone. She belongs to a wonderful family in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada and they miss her very much.

Thank you, Lindsay, for paying tribute to my lovely wife and to our brave and wonderful Jacqui. Every day I remember her courage and strength that let her have her happiest moments. She truly showed all what it meant to live every moment and not to take for granted what she did have. She will be remembered by us all...
