As coffee was brewing early Sunday morning, we glanced outside our backyard kitchen window to see an extraordinary sight: a pair of red foxes teasing each other, pouncing, swatting, and giving chase between the soccer nets.
Although you couldn't exactly say we live in the wilderness, our house backs up to protected wetlands, not far from the Hazlet Youth Athletic League ballfields. Emerging from these woods recently have been deer (and one magnificent buck in particular), a family of racoons, a red tail hawk, and lately some stray cats.
We couldn't help thinking how much the foxes resembled the two rascals that live under our own roof.
Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this video. I have often seen foxes dart across local roads here in Holmdel, especially Crawford's Corner, Holmdel, and Roberts Rds. But I have never seen them "playing" as in this clip. Also I like the accompanying music and the "Fox Sport" title! Foxes are beautiful animals and very helpful in controlling the rodent population.

I thought this was so adorable! I've never actually noticed a fox in the area before.
