Could Blue, Linus or Dime Be Your New Best Friend?

Volunteers say adoptions have been slow since Hurricane Sandy.

Blue is a gorgeous Italian Greyhound who was an owner surrender. He is approximately 6 years old, a little shy but extremely sweet and gentle. Be loves to be loved, and he just loves to wrap himself in his covers, it's the funniest thing to watch. We think Blue had a good life once then his owner fell on hard times. Blue will need someone who has patience and will help him learn to trust. In turn he will be a loving, loyal companion. Someone who knows and understands the breed would be ideal. Castle of Dreams

Linus is a Chihuahua who flew to New Jersey from California to find his forever home. He's about one-year-old, sweet and playful. He's neutered, house trained and up-to-date on vaccinations. Credit Castle of Dreams
Dime’s family is heartbroken but have fallen on hard times and have no choice but to surrender the dog they love. He’s approximately 6 months old, a lab mix who has been with his family since he was a baby. The family says Dime is a good boy. They’re hoping there's someone out there who will love him and make him part of part of a family again. Credit Castle of Dreams
Emily, a little girl, is one in a litter of 5. She is the smallest of the bunch and they were all rescued from South Carolina. She is said to be a Shepherd-Hound mix, but she looks like a little min pin and will probably be a small girl. She is very sweet, happy, and loves to cuddle with you. Credit Castle of Dreams
Miss Corona, a Chihuahua mix, is approximately 8 years old. She's a little shy at first but Miss Corona warms up fairly quickly. She just arrived in New Jersey at the end of August and is settling into her foster home while she awaits her forever home. Do you have room in your heart for this sweet girl that came from a hoarder situation? She has had a hard life her first 8 years, so she deserves the rest of her years to be loved and pampered forever. Credit Castle of Dreams
Sawyer is a happy, comical little guy, approximately 18 months, 15 pounds vetted, heartworm negative, good with dogs, cats, loves children and women. He’s leery of men when he first meets them, never aggressive just barks at them. He need a little patience to get over his fears, but he is such a happy wonderful dog who bonds instantly once he trusts you. He loves to play with other dogs and he is such a sweet boy that deserves a chance. He was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky with another brother. The brother was adopted and know it is his turn to find his forever home. Please give him a chance. Credit Castle of Dreams

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.
