Bridges at the Shore Program Asks Holmdel: "Can You Help?"
The holidays will not be so bright for some residents. Donations of winter clothing and money are needed. Written by Bridges volunteer Kathy Logan.
Some area residents may find it a holiday with little to smile about. They are in need of items we consider daily necessities--- clothing, blankets and toiletries.
The BRIDGES at the Shore Program brings these items to those in need every month. We distribute them in Freehold, Red Bank and Keansburg on the third Friday of each month. We see many families who need winter clothing for their children as well as warm coats for themselves. We also bring bagged lunches which the children can take to school during the week.
Can you help? We need donations of winter clothing for men, women and children. We also need blankets and sample size toiletries. Bring donations to the shed in the Holmdel Community Church parking lot. (it is always unlocked).
One hundred percent of all monetary donations will be used in the program. Make checks payable to Holmdel Community Church, note "Bridges" on the memo line, and send them to Kathy Logan at 8 Stagecoach Dr. Holmdel 07733.
Volunteers are always welcome. Check our website at bridgesattheshore.org.
