UPDATE: Bicyclist in Fair Condition After Being Struck by Car on Rt. 35 in Aberdeen Wednesday
The injured bicyclist was Medevaced from the scene, Route 35 and Amboy Avenue, near A&P

A bicyclist who suffered a head injury after being struck by a car on Route 35 in Aberdeen shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday is in fair condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to Chief of Police John Powers.
Police say Orlando L. Sierra-Delgado, 54, was crossing Route 35 on Amboy Avenue on his bike when he was struck by a Toyota Corolla heading south, driven by Agnus O. Owusu, 43, of Middletown.
Sierra-Delgado suffered a significant head injury, Powers said, and was medevaced to Robert Wood Johnson by a NJ State Police helicopter.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. No summons have been issued at this time, Powers said.
Officer Roger Peter and Officer Matthew Lloyd responded to the scene. Sgt. Michael O'Dwyer and the Monmouth County Serious Collision and Reconstruction Team investigated the accident.
