Satz Bell Ringers, Chorus Make Music
The discipline of attending early-morning practices was rewarded by a bright performance at William R. Satz School on Thursday.
The melodious sound made by metal bells transfixed the audience Thursday night at the Satz School for the annual Melody Ringers concert.
Also performing Thursday was the full sound of the Satz Spring Choral group, who sang sophisticated songs in unison and textured harmony.
Musical Director Matthew Goetke presented the well-organized recital. At its close, he thanked the departing eighth graders, who are moving up into high school, for their dedication and contribution. Some have pledged to join the high school level musical groups.

Thank you for the coverage of this event, and thank you, Steve, for the great pictures! Mr. Goetke works so hard for the students--I am glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. We have a great music program in Holmdel (in addition to the Satz program, two choral and bell groups, a concert band, and an award-winning jazz band at the high school) that does not often get noticed.
