Satz students recently won honors in the AMC 8, a 40-minute multiple choice exam administered to participating schools in the US and Canda. Two eighth grade students received a Certificate of Distinction for placing in the top 1%; seven students  received an Honor Roll Certificate for placing in the top 5%.

The test is sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America. Topics include probability, estimation, percentages, spatial visualization, everyday applications and reading and interpreting graphs.
