Les Paul/Mary Ford Musical Tribute planned for Hazlet Library
Join husband and wife team Tom and Sandy Doyle at the Hazlet Township Library on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. as they present a Les Paul / Mary Ford tribute on guitars, percussion, flute and vocals.
Les Paul, known for his innovations in guitar design and multi-track recording, began performing with Mary Ford in 1946. So successful was their musical partnership that between 1950 and 1954 they had 16 top-10 hits.
The Doyles are sponsored by the Les Paul Foundation and Mahwah Museum of New Jersey.
Tom Doyle worked with Les Paul for more than 40 years as his sound performance engineer/guitarist in New York City. At the program, he will also give a captivating talk about this musical innovator who was also a close personal friend.
