On Friday, Holmdel Pop Warner donated Championship trophies won by the 2010 Pee Wee and 2011 Jr. Midgets football teams to Satz School. 

These teams won the NJ Shore Pop Warner Football Championships in 2010 and 2011, respectively, and the Eastern Region Championship in 2010.

The 2010 team was the first in Holmdel history to win the Eastern Region and play for a National Championship.

This was also the first time in Holmdel history that any football teams won back-to-back Jersey Shore Championships.

Steve Savrides of Holmdel Pop Warner and head coach of the 2011 team said that Satz is a fitting and proper place for these trophies to reside and be seen by the public.

Savrides added that the players will be able to bring their sons and daughters one day to show them what they earned.
