Congratulations Krutika Parasar, and Good Luck in Med School

  • Student: Krutika Parasar
  • School: Brown University

Krutika Parasar, Holmdel High School Class of 2008, graduated from Brown University, magna cum laude with Sc.B. Honors in Human Biology. At Brown, Krutika continued many of her passions from HHS: performing with the Brown’sTones a cappella group; mentoring underclassmen as an RA for 3 years, and tutoring elementary school students in the local community.  Additionally, she was an active member of Brown EMS for 4 years.

Krutika developed two research studies while at Brown. Her study “The Relationship between Alternate Language Exposure and English Comprehension in Infants” has been accepted for publication.  She conducted her study, “The Relationship between Maternal Depression and Emotion Understanding in Children with Behavior Problems” at the Bradley Pediatric Partial Hospitalization Program and presented it at the Annual Research Symposium on Mental Health Sciences.

What she misses most about High School is running with the XC team!

Next step: Krutika will begin medical school at Robert Wood Johnson in August 2012 and hopes to become a pediatrician.

WoW!! What a fantastic success story. I knew she would do well in her studies and to see her succeed in so many different activities, singing, teaching, volunteerism, running, academics. Not only have you provided good genetics but the right environment for growth and development as well. Congratulations! Paul B.
